Really fantastic pizza, all slices are delicious. The Grandma's pizza is out of this world. Always a pleasant atmosphere from the staff and customers alike. The prices are great too, you can legit feed the family here and not fear the receipt.

Absolutely LOVE Grandmas pizza. Somebody give her a kiss from me. The best pizza we have had hands down around the world. (We try pizza every country we travel.) I can’t believe we have never seen this in our area before now. Had this pizza twice in one week. So delicious !!

I used to work at an Albanian Italian restaurant and the pizza was always top notch. A friend had recommended Bala's Pizza to me and let me tell you, this pizza was almost exactly like the pizza I used to get back in the day.......I ordered a Half and half Cheese and Pepperoni pizza......the pizza was cooked just how I like it (a little over regular bake) the sauce had a good sweet bit not overpowering flavor. The crust has the right crunch but with that chew to it as well. Even the leftovers the next day still tasted amazing. If you want that good "NY" type and taste of a pizza give Bala's Pizza a try.

Always happy when there's a great pizza place I have to say the service is incredibly good too. Prices are fair. And let me tell you the pizza does not disappoint this is awesome pizza and is definitely worth a return trip. Though I think they should rename the pizza Bronx bomber to maybe something like let's go Mets or go Sox.

Bala's Pizza never disappoints! I've been a loyal customer for a while now, and it’s easy to see why. This time, I ordered the buffalo chicken and margherita pies, and both were absolutely delicious. The buffalo chicken pie had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, with tender chicken and just the right kick. The margherita pie with pesto that was a classic done right, with fresh mozzarella, basil, and a flavorful tomato sauce that tasted so authentic. Plus, the cashier was super friendly, adding to the great experience. Bala's truly has the best pizza in Jacksonville—can’t wait to come back for more!

If pizza is what you crave, you've got to try this place. Excellent pizza, and the Calzone is even better. All I could say the whole time was "WOW! This is so good." The service could not have been better. Eat in if you want, but don't expect a full-service bar. There is a very nice, large TV for you to watch if you want. This place is all about great food and taking good care of their customers.

I don’t write a lot of these but I was moved so much I just had to share my experience with the world. I am not local to the area, I just happened to be passing through and stumbled upon some food that changed my life. I found a review for Bala’s pizza and a photograph of “The Triple Threat”. Not usually partaking in more than just pizza, my conscience kicked in and lead me to place an order, as I also consider myself to be a triple threat. The pizza was great, the garlic knots great also but the star of the show was the calzone. I haven’t tasted a calzone of this caliber in almost twenty years. The calzone covered the warm gooey insides like a light blanket on a chilly winters eve. It was love at first bite. The staff was top notch but that calzone. I will tell my kid’s kids about the night I had Bala’s calzone.

Giving the benefit of the doubt on this review. It would be such a shame to have your score drop due to lack of customer service, and not the flavor a d quality of your food. We called in our order, first time customers. We were told it would be ready in 30 min. We waited over 20 min after we arrived, and instead of being honest and saying they forgot to put in our order, they acted like it would just be a couple more minutes. Please take my advice- honesty will always get you further in this business. A simple apology goes a long way. Don’t try and cover up and lie, it always makes it worse. People make mistakes. We are all human. I personally would have offered the garlic knots on the house. That all being said, it was amazing pizza. Everything was cooked wonderfully. The sauce tasted fresh and made from scratch. Extremely happy with the food. I hope this becomes our new local pizza “go to”. Trusting the next time we order will be smoother.
